A spider with an egg sac came into my house just as I opened the door. I dropped her back outside.
I had opened the door to spray pesticide because some ants have been coming in through a gap between the door and the frame. Since spiders are pretty helpful – they kill some of the ants and other insects I don’t like – most of the smaller ones stay unmolested in my house. There are a couple species in Texas to look out for, but of those, the only one I would worry about is the Brown Recluse, and that one would be ousted anyway.
